The Anger Cure for Divorced Individuals

Your divorce is over. So why is the anger still running your life?

Most people assume time heals it. It doesn't.

The anger stays because its real cause has nothing to do with your ex, the judge, or what happened in that courtroom.

Dr. Mort Orman, M.D., has spent 40+ years finding those hidden causes and showing people how to eliminate them for good.

Is lingering anger from your divorce still controlling you?

Divorce ends on paper. But for many people, the anger doesn't.

You try to move on. You tell yourself it's over.

And yet the resentment is still there, surfacing at unexpected moments, coloring your days, poisoning your future.

Do you replay arguments or events in your mind, even years after the papers were signed?

Does the thought of your ex still trigger a surge of irritation, bitterness, or pain?

Are you holding back from new relationships because part of you is still fighting the old one or is fearful the next one will crumble as well?

Does the anger feel completely justified, and completely outside your ability to let go?

That last one is the important question.

Because here's what I've found after working with hundreds of people in exactly your situation: the anger feels like it's about your ex.

It isn't.

Not really.

It's about the internal reality you've built around what happened. A reality that feels completely true, completely justified, and completely beyond your reach to change.

It isn't beyond your reach. It’s just the hidden anger game. And once you see it, you can't unsee it. And you can also start to win it.

A personal message from Dr. Orman

I'm Dr. Mort Orman, M.D. I know what it's like to carry anger that feels righteous and immovable. For years, I was an angry young man who became an angry young physician. I tried everything conventional anger management and psychology offered. I kept coming up short.

What I eventually discovered changed my own life permanently.  What was my life-changing discovery?

My anger wasn't coming from where I thought it was.

Most people, and most therapists, focus on the obvious cause.

Your ex did something wrong. You were lied to. You were betrayed. You were cheated on.

Those events may have actually happened.  But that’s not what caused your past anger, and it’s not what’s causing your anger now.

Something else is.

And that something else, which you don’t see right now, is running your whole anger show.

The question isn't how to manage the anger better. The question is: what is actually creating it in the first place?

That's what this program answers. Not with coping techniques. Not with breathing exercises or positive thinking.

With a practical system for identifying how your brain creates invisible stories and misleading internal realities about the events that happen in your life, and it is those internal realities that are generating your anger.

And once you understand how your brain manufactures anger for you, you can also learn how to eliminate it rather than endure it and allow it to ruin your future prospects.

Many people believe post-divorce anger is just part of the process. Something you carry until it fades. I believed that too, once. But I was wrong. And so is everyone else who told you that.

Introducing: The Anger Cure For Divorced Individuals

This is an 8-session, one-on-one coaching program designed for one purpose: to help you discover what's actually driving your anger so you can eliminate it at the root.

Not managing it. Not suppressing it. Not learning to breathe through it.

Eliminating it.

Here's what makes this different from anything you've tried before. Most approaches treat anger as the problem. I treat it as feedback. Feedback about hidden internal causes you haven't been able to see yet: false assumptions, either-or thinking, conditioned reactions, unrealistic expectations, blame patterns that feel like clear-eyed truth but aren't.

Once you can see those causes clearly, they lose their grip. That's not a promise. It's a mechanism. And it works whether your divorce was six months ago or six years ago.

How it works and what you'll achieve

Your 8-session path to anger freedom

Through personalized, one-on-one sessions with Dr. Orman, you will:

Identify the hidden causes, not just the obvious ones. We go beneath the surface to find the false assumptions, either-or thinking, and conditioned reactions that are generating your anger. Not your ex's behavior. Yours. That distinction is where the work begins.

Learn to question your certainty. Emotional intensity feels like proof. It isn't. You'll learn to suspect your own first interpretations, especially when they're loudest, and to search for the fuller truth they're blocking.

Dissolve the resentment you've been carrying. Not by forgiving on command or forcing yourself to feel differently, but by correcting the internal realities that have been feeding the resentment. When the cause goes, the feelings change.

Stop the replay. The arguments in your head. The conversations you're still having with someone who isn't in the room. Those loops have a source. We find it and shut it down.

Build a genuinely new life. Not because you've suppressed the past, but because you've actually resolved it. You’ve learned from it. You’ve changed because of it. You’ve discovered how to not bring destructive anger into your future relationships. That's a different kind of freedom. Cleaner. More durable.

Meet Dr. Mort Orman, M.D.

Dr. Mort Orman spent years as an angry physician who tried everything conventional anger management and psychology had to offer, and kept coming up short. What he eventually discovered was that the anger wasn't coming from where he thought it was. That discovery changed his own life. Then it changed his practice and the expanded healing mission he has taken on.

For more than 40 years, he has worked with individuals, professionals, and couples to identify and eliminate the hidden internal causes of anger, resentment, chronic stress, and relationship breakdowns. His approach is not therapy. It is not anger management. It is a practical diagnostic system for finding what's actually creating the problem and correcting it.

His clients are not people who need to be soothed. They're intelligent, sincere people who have tried the conventional approaches, found them insufficient, and are ready for something that goes deeper.

If that's you, we should talk.

Your next step

You've been carrying this long enough.

The anger you feel toward your ex, toward the process, toward how things turned out, it feels like it's about all of that. And some of it is.

But most of it is coming from somewhere you haven't looked yet. That's not a criticism. It's where the work is.

This complimentary 30-minute Divorce Anger Discovery Call is a chance for us to talk directly, understand your specific situation, and find out whether this program is the right fit for you. No sales pressure. No obligation. Just an honest conversation about what's keeping you stuck and whether I can help.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How is this different from therapy or anger management?

A: Therapy typically helps you process and cope with anger. Anger management teaches you to control its expression. This program does neither of those things, at least not as its primary goal. The goal here is to identify and eliminate the internal causes producing the anger in the first place. False assumptions. Either-or thinking. Conditioned reactions you've mistaken for clear-eyed truth. Once those are corrected, the anger doesn't need to be managed. Why?  Because it's not there anymore.

Q: What if my divorce was years ago and I still feel angry?

A: That's actually one of the clearest signs this program can help you. If time alone were going to resolve it, it would have by now. The fact that it's still present means the internal causes are still present—and that you haven’t detected nor dealt with them yet. Duration doesn't make them harder to find. Sometimes it makes them easier, because you've had time to repeatedly experience what the hidden patterns produce.

Q: I'm currently going through a divorce. Can this help me now?

A: Yes. Working on the internal causes during an active divorce can prevent the kind of long-term resentment that lingers for years afterward. Also, triggered anger can negative impact thinking and decision-making, which can lead to unnecessary costly mistakes. Bottom line: You don't have to wait until your divorce is over to start seeing more clearly and obtaining results right away.

Q: Is there a guarantee?

A: Here's an honest answer. This program produces real results for people who do real work. I can't guarantee outcomes for someone who isn't genuinely committed to looking at their own hidden patterns, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I can tell you is that if after our first two sessions you don't feel this approach is right for you, I'll refund your investment in full. That's my commitment. Yours is to show up and be willing to be wrong about what's causing the anger.

Q: What if I'm not comfortable with technology?

A: Sessions run on Zoom. That's it. If you can make a video call, you can do this. We'll walk you through setup if needed.

INTRODUCTION: I WAS WRONG

I was one of the angriest people I knew.

Through my 20s and mid-30s, I destroyed relationships, burned bridges, and lived in a constant state of war with the people closest to me.

I was convinced something was fundamentally wrong with me—that I was just wired to be angry, and that was my life.

I was wrong.

What I discovered changed everything. Not therapy. Not anger management. Not deep breathing or counting to ten.

Something far simpler—and far more powerful.

I learned to see what my brain had been hiding from me my entire life.

That discovery didn't just eliminate my anger. It transformed my relationships, my career, and my entire experience of being alive.

After failing repeatedly in one romantic relationship after another, I've now been in a deeply happy marriage for 42 years.

And I've helped hundreds of others make the same shift—many of them going through the worst chapter of their lives: divorce.

If you're divorced and still struggling with anger that won't let go, this short guide will show you what's really driving it.

It will also show you why everything you've tried hasn't worked, and what actually will.

THE DAMAGE

Let's be honest about what anger is costing you right now.

It's not just the obvious stuff—the arguments, the sleepless nights, the texts you wish you hadn't sent. It's the slow bleed.

The way your kids walk on eggshells around you. The way your friends have stopped asking how you're doing because they're tired of hearing about your ex.

The way you can't sit in silence without your brain replaying the betrayal, the injustice, the things that were said.

And here's the part nobody talks about: the anger isn't just about your ex anymore.

It's leaking into everything.

You're shorter with your kids. You're harder to be around at work. You're making decisions from rage instead of reason—and some of those decisions are going to follow you for years.

The real damage isn't what your ex did to you. It's what the anger is doing to you right now.

Every week you stay locked in this cycle, the anger is quietly rewriting who you are.

It's replacing the loving, patient, compassionate person you used to be with someone you barely recognize.

And the longer it runs unchecked, the harder it becomes to find your way back.

But here's what I need you to hear: you are not broken.

You're not "an angry person."

You're a good person with an anger program running in your brain that you can't see.

And once you see it, everything changes.

THE SHIFT

Here's what nobody told you about your anger.

It's not caused by what your ex did. I know this is hard to believe, but it’s not how anger gets created. Not really.

Yes, your ex may have lied, cheated, betrayed, or blindsided you. That's real, and I'm not minimizing it.

But the anger you're feeling right now—the kind that wakes you up at 3am, hijacks your whole day, and makes you say things you regret—that anger isn't coming from what happened.

It's coming from three invisible stories your brain is telling you about what happened.

Your brain takes the raw events of your divorce and, without you knowing it, wraps them in three layers of meaning.

These aren't thoughts you chose, or you decided to think.

They're automatic. Instant. Invisible. And they are running your emotional life.

Your Brain is a Meaning Machine

Your brain takes what happened and assigns meaning to it. Not facts—meaning.

"She didn't just leave. She threw away everything we built."

"He didn't just cheat. He proved I was never enough."

The event is the event.

But the meaning your brain wraps around it? That's where the anger lives.

Should Stories

"She should have fought for us."

"He should have been honest."

"The judge should have seen through the lies."

Every "should" is your brain arguing with reality—and reality is undefeated.

The gap between what happened and what should have happened is a furnace, and your anger is the heat.

Identity Stories

These are deep ones.

"I'm a fool for trusting him."

"I wasted the best years of my life."

"I'm damaged goods now."

When anger attaches to who you believe you are, it stops being an emotion and becomes a prison.

You're not just angry about the divorce—you're angry about what you think the divorce says about you.

Here's the breakthrough: From what I shared above, it may look like there are hundreds of potential stories your brain can spin to make you feel angry.

But in reality, there are only three!  Three “high-level” stories that encompass all the other more specific ones.

When you learn to see these three stories—to catch your brain in the act of spinning them—the anger doesn't just decrease.

It dissolves.

Not because you excuse what happened.

Not because you forgive and forget.

But because you stop letting your brain's invisible stories run your life.

You see the anger program.

And once you see it, it loses its power over you.

NOTE: The same is true for all other human emotions. Once you see the three specific high-level stories your brain is using to create each emotion…the whole emotional intelligence game shifts in your favor…dramatically!

THE VISION

Imagine waking up one morning, and your ex is not the first thing on your mind.

Not because you've forgotten. Not because you've "moved on" as some bumper sticker told you to.

But because your brain has stopped spinning the stories that kept you chained to the pain.

Imagine sitting across from your kids and actually being present—not pretending to be calm while rage simmers underneath, but genuinely at peace.

Imagine hearing your ex's name and feeling… nothing.

No spike. No heat. Just a chapter that ended.

Imagine dating again—not from desperation or revenge, but from wholeness.

Showing up as someone who's done the real work, not just survived.

Imagine the fresh start you keep telling yourself you want—except this time, it's actually real because you've eliminated the one thing that keeps poisoning it.

This isn't fantasy. This is what happens when you understand the invisible anger program and know how to defeat it.

I've watched it happen hundreds of times.

People who thought they'd never stop being angry at their ex.

People who were convinced the rage was permanent, justified, earned.

People who told me, "You don't understand what they did to me."

I do understand.

And I'm telling you this: the anger isn't protecting you. It's imprisoning you.

And there's a way out.

THE PATH

I created something called The Divorce Anger Cure.

It's an 8-week one-on-one coaching program with me, built on the exact mechanism I just showed you—the three invisible stories your brain tells you without your permission—each and every time you get angry, regardless of the trigger.

What this short guide gave you is the what.

The program gives you the how.

And it only takes eight 1-hour coaching sessions with me on Zoom.

You'll learn to catch your brain in real time—before the anger intensifies, before the 3am spiral, before the text you can't unsend.

You'll dismantle the stories at their roots, not by fighting them—by seeing through them.

Here's what's included:

8 private sessions where I walk you through the exact process that's eliminated anger for hundreds of people before you

My unique Anger Internal Causes Framework, so the breakthrough in recognizing the three brain stories doesn't disappear when life gets loud or when the coaching program ends

My unique Ultimate Anger Elimination System, a simple, 4-step process to quickly eliminate any unwanted anger issues you can use and benefit from for the rest of your life (I’ve been using and teaching this system for over 40 years)

Direct messaging access to me between sessions—because anger doesn't wait for your next appointment

A bonus 9th session 30 days after we finish, to lock in your results and troubleshoot anything that surfaced

This isn't therapy.

This isn't "anger management."

This is anger elimination—built by someone who spent 40+ years mastering this skill after nearly letting anger destroy his own life and all of his previous relationships.

IN CLOSING

If you've read this far, something in you already knows the truth: your anger isn't going away on its own.

Time doesn't heal this. Distraction doesn't heal this. "Staying busy" doesn't heal this.

Saying “I’m not going to let things keep bothering me” doesn’t heal this.

What heals this is seeing the invisible program—and learning to shut it off.

You now know more about how anger actually works than most therapists will ever tell you. (I tried therapy myself for seven years to curb my anger and never gained these insights.)

You now know there are three stories—and just three stories.

You now know the anger isn't caused by your ex, even though it feels that way.

You now know the real damage isn't behind you—it's happening right now, every day you let the anger program run without knowing how to defend yourself.

The question is: what are you going to do with what you now know?

You have two paths from here.

Path 1: Close this PDF. Tell yourself you'll figure it out on your own. Maybe you will. But if "figuring it out on your own" has been your strategy so far, how's it going?

Path 2: Book a free Divorce Anger Cure Discovery Call with me. Thirty minutes. No pressure. No pitch unless I genuinely believe I can help you.

We'll look at what's really driving your anger, how deep the three stories go, and whether my Divorce Anger Cure coaching program is the right fit for you.

If it is, I'll tell you exactly how it works.

If it isn't, I'll point you somewhere else.

Either way, you'll leave the call with more clarity than you walked in with.

You've spent enough time letting anger run the show.

Now is the time to find out what your life can look like when you're back in charge.

One Last Thing…

One of my favorite romantic movies of all time is Notting Hill.

I’m sure you remember that famous scene when Julia Roberts, playing a star movie actress, comes into Hugh Grant’s bookstore and says, “And don’t forget…I’m just a girl…standing in front of a boy…asking him to love her.”

Well, I may be a medical doctor and an anger elimination expert, but in the end, I’m just a human being who escaped from the clutches of anger, standing in front of you, a fellow human being, asking you to trust me.

I can show you the way out.

All you have to do is schedule a call.

young couple fighting.

The emotional pain of watching their dreams and their relationship deteriorate pushed them to seek help.

It was during this challenging period that they discovered Dr. Mort Orman, M.D. and his DocOrman.com website—a lifeline offering insights and solutions into the invisible, internal causes of their struggles.

Drawing on the principles Dr. Orman had learned from personal development leaders in emotional well-being and relationship success, they realized they weren't alone.

Dr. Orman’s own journey mirrored theirs; an Internal Medicine physician and entrepreneur who faced severe anger and stress issues and serial relationship failures himself during his twenties and thirties in the demanding world of medicine.
